What's obvious is that chef James Viles and his family have created an elegant destination restaurant that doesn't let its ambitions run unchecked at the expense of diners.
Yes, there's a cool Scandinavian chic to the decor, and the minimalist menu - just a list of ingredients - is of a similar ilk, but what arrives at the table is sophisticated yet playful, with a strong sense of place.
