A record number of local producers and public attended the 2017 Southern Highlands food and wine festival right in the heart of Bowral. The Southern Highlands most innovative and award-winning cool climate wine makers, artisan food producers and creative chefs showcased the regions’ abundance and diversity of food and wine to over 8,800 foodies and wine lovers from near and far on Saturday and Sunday of the October long weekend.
The magnificent Corbett Gardens was a picture and bristling with local entertainers, pop up restaurants, local food producers and award winning southern highlands wineries offering tastings. There were large crowds attending our festival chef Justine Schofields' cooking demonstrations and book signings on both days.
The entertainment flowed like wine with Nyssa and Alex Bunyan, Laney and Friends and Darren Powell all creating at atmosphere of family fun across the whole weekend.
